Role description:
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing our hybrid Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environment, overseeing device management through Intune, maintaining internal networks and VPNs, and assisting with service desk operations. You will play a key role in driving automation, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring a stable and secure IT ecosystem.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 hybrid environments with on-premises Active Directory.
- In-depth knowledge of Entra ID and Azure AD concepts.
- Experience managing MacOS and Windows devices via Microsoft Intune.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive).
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automating administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with AWS and GCP for basic support and issue identification.
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, WiFi, VPNs).
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred/Bonus Experience:
- Cisco Firepower (FTD) and AnyConnect VPN administration.
- Experience using ClickUp as a helpdesk or task management system.
- Exposure to security compliance and endpoint protection strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage users, groups, and group policies within Microsoft 365 and on-premises Active Directory.
- Oversee all Windows and MacOS device management through Microsoft Intune.
- Create, maintain, and optimize compliance and configuration profiles across all endpoints.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Support the internal helpdesk workflow using ClickUp, including assisting in ticket triage and resolution.
- Own and enhance Active Directory automation scripts (PowerShell and related tools).
- Design, implement, and maintain internal tools to improve employee efficiency and IT processes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot internal network infrastructure (e.g., office WiFi) and VPN access (internal/external users).
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for AWS and GCP environments.
- Manage Cisco FTD (Firepower Threat Defense) firewall and AnyConnect VPN configuration.
