A global HealthTech startup developed an innovative AI-powered medical chatbot designed to provide accessible healthcare diagnostics to a worldwide audience. While their mission was to serve billions, their underlying technology, a self-hosted open-source AI model, created significant operational and compliance barriers, preventing them from partnering with the enterprise healthcare organizations that were critical to their growth.
The Challenge
The client faced a critical business challenge. Their AI infrastructure was holding them back. The engineering team was spending nearly half their time managing GPU instances instead of improving the product. More importantly, the self-hosted models lacked the security, safety and auditability controls required to handle sensitive health data at scale. This compliance gap was a hard blocker to enterprise partnerships and exposed the company to significant regulatory risk.
Our Solution
GOStack designed and implemented a fully managed, enterprise-compliant and scalable generative AI platform on AWS, completely transforming the client's technical foundation.
The solution transitions the client from their high-maintenance EC2-based infrastructure to a serverless architecture centered on Amazon Bedrock. As a managed, enterprise-grade service, Bedrock provides the security, auditability and compliance features required for healthcare workloads out-of-the-box. The platform uses Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.6 for its state-of-the-art medical reasoning capabilities, delivering a significant improvement in clinical utility and safety.
The backend business logic runs on AWS Lambda and is exposed via Amazon API Gateway, creating a scalable, cost-efficient and resilient application layer. The entire system operates within a secure Amazon VPC, with fine-grained AWS IAM roles and AWS Secrets Manager enforcing strict access controls and protecting sensitive credentials.
